Based in Essex in the United Kingdom, P & P Yachts supports model yachtsmen around the world by building and repairing their radio-controlled yachts.

We bring together the finest manufacturers for components and sails, and bring it all together with our special attention to detail and quality of build to provide a first class yacht.

P & P Yachts was established by Phillip Playle in 2008. Phil’s reputation for excellent craftsmanship, coupled with his extensive knowledge of and passion for the sport, make him one of the finest model yacht builders in the world.

Phil has been sailing since a young child in one form or another. Starting with dinghy sailing in the 1960s, and taking up model yachting in the late 1980s. He has also crewed on a number of large offshore competitive yachts.

Phil is a professional craftsman and originally an engraver before he turned his hand to building model yachts in the 1990s with Sails etc.

He was also the first ever national champion in the UK IOM class championships, and has competed in national and international model yachting events around the world.
